I'm free to tag along with you Saturday.

Recommended Posts

Hey all. I'm wife, and child-less this Saturday. If you are going hunting or fishing (more interested in the fishing) and need someone to tag along, to catch the smaller ones and net your big ones let me know. I know this is pretty much begging; but hey you never know.

I just had 8 tons of rock dropped off in my front yard this morning that I am going to be loading in the wheel barrow and taking to back yard on Saturday. You are welcome to help 😜

You mean a Habitat Reclamation Project, who could say no then. We know he's off!

I used to shovel decorative rock on the side to make a few extra bucks. My Saturday is booked but I will offer some advice in case you choose to take it. Have it dumped on concrete or pavement if you can, even if it is a little farther from where you want it. Use a flat shovel and scoop from the bottom of the pile. It is MUCH easier to shovel. Also if you have two or three guys put one on the shovel, one on the wheel barrow and one on the rake to spread the rock and rotate every second or third wheel barrow full. With three guys doing it that way you should be able to finish in about an hour to an hour and a half. I used to average 2 to 2 1/2 tons an hour by myself. Hope some of that info might help!

Well James I am having a "medical procedure" (snip, snip) done on Friday so I am not sure how mobile I will be Saturday. Sounds like you will be busy with rock anyway. Remember to bend at the knees!
