gun stippling

Recommended Posts

Anyone do stippling as a side hobby? I have a Glock that I would like to get done and I know it's not hard but was hoping some on here does it more than once and is good.

I'm in QC.

I have to admit I had to google this to see what it was. Learn something new every day.

Similar to checkering, adding texture to a polymer or plastic type handgun or rifle.

Ok, it it just for design and making something "custom" or unique, or does it have another purpose?

Mostly stippling is to change the texture of the grip. Ie some guns grip are smooth and when shooting in the rain or muddy or sweaty hands your gun moves more.

Stippling increases texture. Basically take a wood burner or soldering iron and melt texture or dimples into gun grip.

I've done it, it's not hard. If I could recommend something it would be to be patient, break it up over a couple of nights, and use the smallest tip on your soldering iron.
