I you got a flat rate per 30 pack I'm in too. Granted I can carry 5 but that's usually not enough.

cmbbulldog Report post Posted March 31, 2014 Will work for coors light and red meat. If that's all it takes, I may have you join me on a scouting trip or 2 for my 6A archery tag. Heck, I will even throw in some good whiskey.

Great idea! I've needed someone like you a time or two, where you located? Put your name and number out just before each elk season with what units you will go to and sit by the phone. Get a few friends involved and you could have a nice little business.
n2horns Report post Posted March 31, 2014 Sounds like a good job opportunity. Relocate to flagstaff for the season to be close by. Get gps and maps ready and post you info on the forums as well as at processors.
6ANut Report post Posted March 31, 2014 Problem you might run into is that people sometimes do not have cell service where the elk is shot but sure looks like their is some interest. Bulldog pm me I will be up north most of the summer keeping the pregnant wife cool.
6ANut Report post Posted March 31, 2014 Rcd setting up camps are not my thing, I like putting miles on my boots and getting bloody, not camp cook.

Edge Report post Posted March 31, 2014 Sounds like a lot of fun, but under AZ statutes, you'd need a Guide License for what you described. Have you read the definition of a 'Guide' in the state of AZ? Their term for guide is fairly all inclusive in it's ambiguity but your only out may be to act as a serpa that works for free. Any compensation would be considered "pay." ARS 17-362 R12 4 208 A guide license issued from the Arizona Game and Fish Department is required for any person who, for pay, aids or assists another in the taking of wildlife in Arizona. If you're doing what you described on Federal Lands, you'll need a lot more than a license; special use permit, insurance and a possible bond. And the feds won't give you that permit without demonstrating experience as a guide. However, the feds will let you act as a guide or outfitter w/o license so long as you don't 'profit' in the endeavor, but you can be compensated for your expenses. However, that doesn't mean you won't need an AZ Guide license. Confused yet?

That only applies for people assisting in the "taking" (killing of the animal). Packing services do not need a guide license.
