rcdinaz Report post Posted March 31, 2014 Sendero's are great rifles! I have a 300RUM in a mod 70 but i dont shoot it anymore. I shoot my 7mmRM and the 7mm Dakota, the 300 will eventually become a 338 Edge. I guess I kind of have to agree that I bought the RUM going for max velocity and the more I shot long range I decided it wasn't necessary. It is a special kind of LOUD on the range with a muzzle break. It is a fantastic tool for moving the rambo's throwing .223 or semi auto brass at my bench to the far side of their area.
pwrguy Report post Posted March 31, 2014 Kinetic Energy= .5(Mass)(Velocity)^2 RUM has more Energy down range because it has a higher velocity; if one thinks he or she needs more Ke, either bump up the mass or the speed, this is the only option. Spoken like an engineer. Also, very true. I am rapidly becoming a big fan of the win mag, but I think I would step up to a .338 if I wanted more reach.
rossislider Report post Posted March 31, 2014 /> I bought one last year. I'm still fine tuning my load, but on my first load work up I'm under 1/2 moa at 200 yards. What caliber are you shooting?I am working on my Sendero in 7 mag. Put a Jewell trigger on it. Fine shooting rifle. I am not quite at 1/2 moa for 200 yds yet. Need to find the right load still. I'm shooting a 300 RUM with 210 Bergers and Retumbo. I put a Timney on it but haven't had a chance to shoot since swapping the triggers out. My buddy shoots a Sendero 7mm mag with Reloader 22 and 168 Bergers with fantastic results.

5guyshunting Report post Posted April 5, 2014 I purchased the sendero in 7mm mag but the trigger does not really seem to change with the prescribed adjustment technique. it is supposed to be 3.5 pounds, and adjustable to 1.5 pounds. Any suggestions other than getting a new trigger?
AverageJoe Report post Posted April 5, 2014 No the triggers suck. Get a new one. You can find an older remington style or an aftermarket and swap it out very easily.

The triggers they have been putting on the Senderos for the past few years are terrible. I put a Timney on mine.
