naturebob Report post Posted March 30, 2014 Gorgon and Nick aint ready for the pros, but they will go and take the $. too Bad. Tarcewski sucks.too, Terrible foot work and moboility for his size. He is bad on recovery and blocks no shots. If they had Ashley they whould have won it all hands down. Thats where I say Nick isnt ready to go pro.He couldnt step up and take over. He doesn't have that 10-14 ft pullup jumper to end it.......Prove Me wrong...........BOB! ....... Oh wait Wisconson did.
kwp Report post Posted March 30, 2014 All the cats could benefit from coming back but the NBA drafts on potential, not readiness. Gordon is considered a lottery pick, his draft stock can't get much higher so he will surely go pro. Johnson is considered a second round pick because he is too small to play shooting guard and has never played point guard. Those questions aren't going to get answered next year so his current draft stock is likely as high as it will ever get. If he were to stay and have a bad year he would drop so why risk that. The cats have committed 5 scholarships to new recruits next year, they need a few guys to leave to make room.

Redman Report post Posted March 30, 2014 Obvious push off with the left arm. Easy call. They were lucky they got the ball back. That was a terrible call..... the defender should have been call on the initial contact. Horrible http://thebiglead.com/2014/03/29/wisconsin-survives-against-arizona-in-wild-final-seconds-that-included-offensive-foul-call-against-nick-johnson/
Pine Donkey Report post Posted March 30, 2014 Current projections have Gordon going 16 and Johnson going 36. Johnson is pack 12 player of the year. One more year will not raise his stock much. Gordon could rise higher with another year, but there is not a huge difference between a 16 and say a 6 or so. One knock against Gordon is his age. He will not be 19 until September. Most kids his age are seniors in high school. I think they will both go this year. Hopefully the new recruits will be like Gordon and Hollis-Jefferson rather that the highly touted flop that Josiah Turner was.

dustin25 Report post Posted March 30, 2014 Bad call on the charge at the end.but all in all the cats lost to an equally good team by one in ot.Ashley's combo of size and speed was exactly what we needed to slow down kaminsky.but he's injured, az lost, good season that could've been a championship. Pine Donkey Report post Posted March 30, 2014 It seems that riots based on sporting events have become part of our culture. It happens across the country and even world. When it happens those idiots involved get a slap on the wrist and 15 minutes of fame. This motivates idiots to rationalize the need to riot...now they are rioting over an elite 8 game...where will it stop. I say lock up everyone that was arrested and fine the heck out of them. Also charge them for all related costs; sorta like the stupid motorist law that charges those who get caught in a wash. Hit a college student with a $50k fine for being caught while being stupid. Pretty soon, rioting would not be so cool. It's a game you juvenile idiots! This is nothing compared to the realities of life outside of college. Grow up and become a productive part of our society! kwp Report post Posted March 30, 2014 />You can always count on the cats to choke, they will never win another championship. When all the commentators are saying that it was such a good game and unfortunately one team had to lose I don't see how that is choking. Arizona's days of getting upset in the tourney are a thing of the past. This was Miller's first ever loss to a lower seed and I wouldn't call a 1 losing to a 2 in OT an upset. Pretty sure you will eat those words before too long. Miller is one of the best and youngest coaches in college basketball. His time will come!
CouesHunterAZ Report post Posted March 30, 2014 Gordon is the only guy that is for sure leaving for the draft, Nick Johnson is around 60-40 right now I have heard from people who are close friends with him. It's an awful feeling that a team as good as this loses in such a good game, but the potential of this team for next year is unbelievable. Even if Nick Johnson does leave, next years team will be solid at every position.

dustin25 Report post Posted March 30, 2014 Yeah its foolish to say Arizona chokes and will never win a championship again.even without ashley they had as good a chance as anyone this year.and its lookin good for next year too.along with lord Stanley, a NCAA title is the most difficult championship to win
DesertBull Report post Posted March 30, 2014 Duke could target Miller when Coach K retires. Probably within the next 3 years.
