Wolf Spending Continues

Recommended Posts

http://azgfd.net/artman/publish/NewsMedia/Mexican-Wolf-Livestock-Coexistence-Council-Unveils-Innovative-Strategic-Plan.shtml

I just read this on the AZGFD website and am blown away (although I shouldn't be surprised any more) to see that they are now paying off the ranchers to deal with the problem wolves. I have nothing against the cattle ranchers who are trying to get compensated for their losses incurred by the wolves. My issue is with the USFWS ridiculous spending. Instead of spending money to compensate the ranchers, why don't they stop financing wolf restoration. Now that leaves plenty of money to help our deer herds and other animals that we all enjoy and that some rely on for food for their families. I see the big picture and this is just a way for USFWS to get the ranchers (some of them maybe) to be quiet and go along with the wolf spending while the tree hugging activists work on the bigger scheme of taking over our forests and further limiting or stopping hunting altogether in "wolf areas".

This is getting more frustrating the longer it continues. I just wanted to make a few more people aware of where our dollars are being spent. I'd be interested to hear if some fellow CWT members have some input from either side to further educate all of us.

I would think sportsman would be the last group of people to allow things to be shoved down their throats. :o If we are aware of other forms of predator control. Does everyone need to be taken by the hand, coddled, and kicked in the butt to do the common sense thing. If ya think the cattleman will stand up for ya your pissin up a rope. After all a check from the gooberment for lost stock, that will always be prize stock. When it comes to putting a value on it, is a guaranteed check off the gooberment teet. And will more than likely be more profitable than one they had to work to bring to market. Seems a no brainer to me as to what we should do. Course we can just roll over and take it in the shorts, seems to be the new American way.

Take care, Willie

All kiddin aside. You're right Wille, just sit back and let them take over is the new American way so it seems.

The Fed's love to waste money on their "Cash Cows", and cater to the "Feelgood" crowd.

I went to that site first before I posted on CWT and found their "contact us" button. I let them have a good earful about how jacked up they are. We'll see if I get a response from them, very doubtful though. I encourage everyone on here to let 'er rip and blast their email box full of what us sportsmen and the true conservationists think.

I don't have an ounce of political correctness in me, bet ya all couldn't tell. But after all we are talking about a population that goes to the woods with guns, and their rules only work because we make them work. And in spite of the gooberments elitist opinion of us, We all aren't as sharp as a bowling balls. Sometimes ya just have to prove that you can fix stupid if ya get backed into a corner.

When the JEWS were being marched to the showers by Hitler. I am sure the thought they were going to come out squeaky clean!!!!! This may seem extreme. But when this type of I'll do as I please attitude reaches the game management level. I'm thinkin the time is getting real close to sleeping with one eye open, as we can't trust any of them. :o

Its already been a long week so my tolerance for crap is low.

We are all certainly entitled to opinions, I generally like my opinions to be based on fact.

Id suggest you talk to ranchers who have lost livestock and the challenge that it is to prove that wolves killed an animal and then actually getting recompensed at fair market value.

Problem is most cattle that are killed by predators are young beeves and not worth much. I personally dont agree with the cheap fees that ranchers pay to graze public land but i sure dont think they are makin a livin off of losing livestock to wolves and it sure doesnt make the ranchers smile about the wolves and cuddle up to tree huggers.

Not sure it's worth writing any of this out anyways, most reasonable discussions are lost in misinformation and hearsay on the forum nowadays, but thats just my opinion.

Be patient my friend. Let the Fed. get totally involved, bring in the gov. hunters. And they won't bite the hand that feeds them if it goes coop, the gov. hunters will write it like the rancher tells it. I'm closer to it than most, and really don't care if you had a bad hair day.

"Cash cow" refers to projects to dump write off money.

What the heck...there is a wolf/livestock coexistence council! Great, hope it works better than the lion/bighorn coexistence council that is in place on Pusch Ridge.

Unfortunately yes. Even thought the species are different, the outcome is the same.Expensive animals ending up as Predator poop.!
