azhuntnut Report post Posted March 20, 2014 I'm looking for some advice on paint. Gonna paint a place up north and want it to hold up in the rain and snow for a while. I have read Sherwin Williams has good paint, but would like to hear from the pro's so I can get he best. I used Dunn Edwards once before, but it wasn't long ago so I don't know how well it will hold up. David

Snapshot Report post Posted March 20, 2014 I maintain a couple of large properties for a management company, and do a lot of painting. I use Dunn Edwards, and occasionally, Sherwin WIlliams, for specialty finishes. Dunn Edwards Evershield is their top of the line exterior paint. I use Dunn Edwards "Versaglo" for interior work. If you are painting over old existing finishes, you can also try the Flex tech, which is elastomeric, and will hold up better under more adverse weather, where expansion and contraction, is more likely. The Rep at Dunn Edwards can fill you in on your specific needs.

wellhead Report post Posted March 21, 2014 Last summer I used HD's Behr exterior premium plus on my home in Williams. Was just up there this week and it still looks good. It helped having HD close when I needed more paint. I've yet to see how much better Dunn Edwards was than other paints except that they are so proud of their prices.
