More D Report post Posted December 15, 2006 First get better then worry about hunting. This could be the only season you might miss, but God willing there will be many, many more. Rest. Relax. Get better. Although we will miss your pics of you and your buck!
bowsniper Report post Posted December 15, 2006 Yeah, I had a fall in August last year. I was leaning back on a lineman "saftey" harness and it disengaged. I fell 25 feet and dislocated and busted up my wrist. I was very lucky that was all. Mike, you are in my prayers. The injury is bad enough, but I know how frustrating it is to have to sit out the season. Mark

COUESAZ Report post Posted December 16, 2006 I talked to Mikes uncle Ken today and he said he has not been to see him yet because mike does not want to see anyone. I guess they can not give him Pain meds right now and he is in lots of pain and not a very hapy hunter at this point and time.

billrquimby Report post Posted December 16, 2006 "I guess it is a more common occurence than what you think." It is very common all across the USA. I had a friend break his neck and die about 20 years ago in Florida. Two years ago, two friends were seriously injured in Pennsylvania when a commercial stand collapsed as one of them was climbing it. He fell on the other guy, who was steadying the thing. The climber broke a leg, the stand holder suffered a broken back and still has pain. Just last year, someone I'd met on a deer hunt in Michigan fell off his stand in Texas and broke an arm while trying to strap on his harness. I hope Mike has a speedy and complete recovery, without complications. Bill Quimby
