I know coupons suck.....but does anyone accept responsibility for their actions anymore?

Its not about that. It's about a system that puts "enforcing" laws in the hands of companies that are making a profit and not in the hands of LEO's. If I am pulled over or caught doing something illegal by an officer I'll take full responsibility for what I've done.

I have beaten 2 of them. You just have to avoid the process server.

Any ideas on avoiding them from taping the subpoena to your front window of your house?

/> it's been done a few times in star valley.

last i read where someone won, they argued that the city prosecutor could not also be a witness against you, as this was a conflict of interest.

court ruled that was true, and threw it out.

i'm not sure what or if the city has changed on that, but now the prosecutor cannot be a witness against you.

I thought those cameras in Star Valley were inoperative. Not the case?

ain't a day goes by i don't see them suckers go off. keep flyin' through there, and help keep my taxes low.

So I'm reading my "ticket" and it says to mail payment to Violation processing po box 22091 tempe az. That is the po box for American trafic solutions. Mesa paid them for the cameras and pay for maintenance. Ticketing for profit not public safety. They are not sworn officers so how can they issue a fine through the court? No sworn officer was present at the time of said offence. I'll be fighting this.

you're getting close.

let us know how it turns out.

there's lots of ways to beat this if you know the law, and courtroom procedure.

Arizona summons service law

Service upon an individual from whom a waiver has not been obtained and filed shall be effected by delivering a copy of the summons and of the pleading to that individual personally or by leaving copies thereof at that individual's dwelling house or usual place of abode with some person of suitable age and discretion then residing therein or by delivering a copy of the summons and of the pleading to an agent authorized by appointment or by law to receive service of process.

The Law usually favors the process server, however, taping it to the front door is sketchy and can be challenged, unless the court deems the "alternate service" as acceptable.

Or just tie a big nasty Pitbull to your front door for 3 months. ;)

Don't ever make the mistake of logging on to the website listed on the ticket you get in the mail. If you type in your ticket number, you will "Be Considered as served"

If you want to go to the dance you gotta pay the fiddler......just sayin.....good luck.

It is funny up here in the Show Low area, we always get letters to the editor in the Independent...people crying about how they will never come back to this area cause of the traffic cams.....I don't particularly care for them but it is pretty easy to know where they are compared to that cop that hides on that back road penrod where the limit is 45 and a person can't bear to go less than 55.......

Traffic cams at intersections, the ones on the corners, are also set up to go off even if you have a green light and are going over the speed limit by whatever the set amount is.

I've had too many photo cam tickets to count, and i've never paid one yet. We used to go by the one in pv in the tatum bend on crotch rockets doing wheelies every day sometimes over 85 miles an hour. Just don't answer your door for a little while after the flash.

Reflex is the owner of those cameras. Most of the money you pay for the ticket goes to Australia....man up, except responsibility but by God don't pay it!

I beat one in court. I was very polite, had a good attitude, and told the judge that I believed that there must be something wrong with the camera. I asked how often the cameras had to be calibrated and tested. The judge asked the officer, who replied that it had to be calibrated every 90 days. I asked for proof of the calibration, which resulted in a new court date while they attempted to find the information. At the next court date the documents showed that the camera had not been calibrated since installation, which is probably the norm. The judge dismissed the case. This was in El Mirage.
