JLW Report post Posted March 11, 2014 ok, starting to get close to Snapping! looking for health insurance and this is not going well................... $500 a month for my wife and myself.......................... coverage description is shady $10,000 deductible...............uh ok $5,000 per person per year $12,000 out of pocket per year........ $6,000 per this is the cheapest that is offered to us.... so far Copayments/Coinsurance:A copay is a fixed amount (for example, $15) you pay for a covered health care service, usually when you get the service. The amount can vary by the type of covered health care service. Coinsurance is your share of the costs of a covered health care service, calculated as a percent (for example, 20%) of the allowed amount for the service. You pay coinsurance plus any deductibles you owe. For example, if the health insurance or plan’s allowed amount for an office visit is $100 and you've met your deductible, your coinsurance payment of 20% would be $20. The health insurance or plan pays the rest of the allowed amount. Primary Doctor: 40% Coinsurance after deductibleSpecialist Doctor: 40% Coinsurance after deductibleGeneric Prescription: $20 Copay after deductibleER Visit: 40% Coinsurance after deductible So the way this reads is I pay 100% til I reach my deductible???????????????????????????????????????????? now this lady in my shop says she pays only $24 for her and her son qualifies for .... wait for it........ ACCHS mind you she's married and I'm pretty sure she's not reporting both incomes. I'm not paying for someone else to have insurance.... I'm not rich nor do I make a lot of money. this is redistribution of wealth and is the definition of SOCIALISM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they can kiss my AZZ! if there is something I'm not getting please let me know. AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! James
Coues79 Report post Posted March 11, 2014 This is what we conservatives get for allowing this joke of a person to run our country AND for allowing the liberal masses in huge cities to control elections. Mark this down, if the repubs don't have ethnic diversity on the presidential ticket for 2016, we will not see the white house for another 8 years after that.
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted March 11, 2014 I'm not sure how the plan you looked into is? With our plan from BlueCross (thru my employer), we only pay towards our deductible for hospital stays, surgeries, MRI, etc. our regular office visits only require the $20 copay and prescriptions are as cheap as $2.50. Our deductible is hardly ever met.
Guest wdenike Report post Posted March 11, 2014 33, I would bet your employer is not dealing with OBUMMER care yet. Hopefully they never will. Take care, Willie
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted March 11, 2014 />33, I would bet your employer is not dealing with OBUMMER care yet. Hopefully they never will. Take care, Willie your correct, we are not. I'm not sure if the healthcare exchange (obummercare) works like a standard plan or not? Or if JLW has had insurance or not recently? I was just giving insight on how our plan works. I was just giving insight on how our plan works. it has been some time since I had insurance and it was as you have stated.... this is wayyyyyyyy different. I'm not locked in just yet, but I'll be damned if I pay for something I can't use! if you read my og post it is copy and pasted from their website. what does 40% after coinsurance mean?? James
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted March 11, 2014 I'd assume it means after you've met your deductible then your responsible for 40%, like a 60/40 split UP TO the out of pocket amount? but we all know what happens when we assume
Guest wdenike Report post Posted March 11, 2014 JLW, 33 is right. That is the break down. Not many are signing up for the joke. Except those that thought it was free. And the high deductibles and copays aren't scaring them, as they weren't paying anything before. And don't have any intention of paying with OBUMMER CARE. Just look at guys like 33 and myself what we would be donating to the cause. We need to remember " If you like your insurance you can keep your insurance..." " If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor....." And all the ones that crammed this down our throats need to go. Take care, Willie
coueshunter Report post Posted March 11, 2014 I think JLW is like myself where a company is not fronting a lot of the cost for our insurance. I pay my total insurance for my family and I went to the website to see if I could reduce my insurance cost. Well, after filling out all the info, the quote back to me was over $1,100.00 per month for me, wife and 2 sons. That is more than we are paying now. In addition to that, you don't really know what the "gold, silver, bronze" plans cover. The deductibles are outrageous. It is nothing more than a way for the feds to get additional revenue and push the insurance costs off to regular joe public. I am tired of watching commercials showing someone who says " I am so happy, I am only paying $94.00 a month to insure my whole family". What a joke. Somebody is getting screwed and I am pretty sure who it is. Once again it is the middle class. I wonder how many politicians dropped their federal insurance to sign up with Obamacare??????

Couse, I pray this is not the mind set of most Americans. Putting someone in the office based on ethnicity pretty much bought to us Obummer. What I hope Americans are planning. Is putting some one that is qualified for the job. And just as important is that he or she (AND I AINT TALKING ABOUT THE HILDA BEAST) is everybody's president, no matter race, or color. And that person makes all human beings want to be American first. Not African American, Mexican American, Italian American, or any other kind of American. They have to make all understand that we all bleed red, and each and everyone of us counts. Because that's what makes us who we are. Can't just be lip service from an empty suit though. Take care, Willie
muledeerarea33? Report post Posted March 13, 2014 Willie, I'd say 80% of your rants I don't understand! That doesn't mean I disagree with you, just means I don't get the ramble. But the one you just posted I completely agree with. I love a good joke as much as the next guy but I don't give a dang who runs the country as long as they run it how our forefathers intended it to be.

Take care, Willie I would like to think and hope for the US that the majority of folks wouldn't care about ethnicity etc. However, the swing states that have a high minority population in that of Hispanic and African Americans voted HIGHLY for this president the last election, even when the better candidate was a republican. In this day and age, ethnicity does matter. The minority vote is what pulls the liberals over the top. You can wish, hope, whatever you want to do... fact is the US has changed. We have to beat the liberals at their own game and go about the agenda in a different manner then putting the status quo candidate on the ticket. A sound, solid Hispanic or Black candidate would have a much, much higher ability to get elected over the norm candidate the republicans always put forth. Add an ethnic woman in that mix and then we are talking about an opportunity to retake the white house. I don't care who runs the country as long as they have conservative values and uphold the constitution. But, theres a heck of a lot of idiot voters that care about looks and race. Why not find a candidate that can pull those votes too? We have to appeal to the young and minority voters in this day and age.... the standard candidate does not do that any longer. Beat the liberals at their own game.... but do it with a conservative candidate.
Guest wdenike Report post Posted March 13, 2014 "However, the swing states that have a high minority population in that of Hispanic and African Americans voted HIGHLY for this president the last election, even when the better candidate was a republican." These are NOT the population that won the election. These are the people that voted for free chit. The people that won the election for Obummer. Were the people that threw their vote in the toilet voting for a third party candidate. ( The time for that has not arrived YET ) And the ones that took their ball and bat and stayed home. ( You know the ones that whin about everything. But really don't give a chit as long as that piece of sky above their head is OK. ) They bought us the big piece of chit we have. When, if they would have voted for the country instead of being self centered. We would have had a small piece of chit. These people won the election for the BUM!!!!! Again being self centered and doing the wrong thing has consequences. And we are livin the nightmare. Take care, Willie
Coues79 Report post Posted March 13, 2014 True to those swing voters and conservatives that sat at home and did not vote. I see that point. I wish I had the ambition to look up numbers and research tonight but I don't..... if you pull 30% of the minority vote in the pivotal ground, swing states and I believe it would be a different outlook altogether. Seems like I read or heard that after the election. Anyways, back to the topic.... wonderful healthcare. Jolly won lastnight after a campaign that painted his opponent as a proponent and supporter for this presidents law. If that could get the seats back into the red territory and control the house and senate, maybe that's the agenda the repubs should push this midterm. However, it may be best suited to have the healthcare law run its course for a couple of years so people see the wreck that it is in order to retake everything in 2016. Then maybe we can repeal it and get out of the mess it and this liberal agenda is causing.
