naturegirl Report post Posted March 7, 2014 the very first thing out of your mouth is "thank goodness I don't have any big hunts coming up." Funny how I can deal with everything else like it's no big deal, but if I had to miss a hunt I'd be one bummed girl. Here's to hoping my rotator cuff will be fine for turkey season, but it's no big deal if it's not because this turkey tag is devoted to spending the time with my 5 year old in the woods. The drop tine buck from last year is my August goal so rehab/surgery, etc., here I come!

PRDATR Report post Posted March 7, 2014 I wouldn't know. I've never had much more than a couple of bruises in 6 decades, haven't been sick in close to 10 years. The last time I had a headache was n my teens. Pretty sure I fractured my radius in November but it only was a handicap for a couple of days but it still reminds me it's there every time I put too much pressure on it. tjhunt2 Report post Posted March 7, 2014 Here's hoping all goes well with your rotator cuff. I've been thru it and it's no picnic. I ended up getting a cross bow permit and did quite well. I killed a 5x5 elk, small buck deer, pig, turkey, and a javelina that year. Hope you don't miss any hunts. TJ

ylclaret Report post Posted March 7, 2014 I had a torn labrum, not as bad as a rotator cuff and they doped me up good. Just make sure you do the pt and you will be fine! Save one pain pill, and then in August when you get that drop tine buck you can wash it down with a cold beer and really celebrate! Haha!

Chef Report post Posted March 7, 2014 Get well and back to hunting shape soon! I'm with you on your train of thought too. Heck, I even tell people that are engaged to get married that if they would like me to attend the wedding, don't set the date during hunting season!
