apache12 Report post Posted March 6, 2014 Just got back from some cold hog hunting in east texas near the red river Lots of fun. Took a rifle i bought for my 14 year old. Tikka t3 lite 7mm-08 Cant say enough good about that rifle and round. Great to carry all day excellent adj trigger and tight groups with factory hornady and federal premium. Compared to some other caliber my buddy's were using this really performed well. Punched clean through thick hide and out the other side every time. Dropped them almost in their tracks. Recoil is next to nothing Only negative on tikka in my opinion is the 3 round mag and they dont machine the top of receiver for easy top load. Bugs me. apache12 Report post Posted March 7, 2014 North of Paris tx and we were guest of someone who leases on a ranch to hunt. So didnt really cost a thing. I'm looking for a west tx Axis deer hunt.
