flagcoueskiller Report post Posted December 12, 2006 Congratulations! That is a great buck. I shot a 3 point with no eyeguards this year as well. When I say none, I mean not even a bump! Didn't realize it before I shot, although I would have shot anyhow. I am convinced that any coues buck is quite a trophy. I can't stop jumping on this site, I have a Mexico hunt starting day after Xmas and I can't stand the wait anymore! Thanks for all of the great posts and pics everybody, you are helping me stay a little bit sane! I have an addiction, but I refuse to acknowledge it as a problem!! Backcountry, I personally have never shot a coues buck before with little/no eye guards such as this one, so one out of nine means not very common to me. Funny thing is that I shot a good Mule deer with my bow in 2004 that has the same thing...no eye guard on the right side and a very small one on the left. Go figure. desertsheep Report post Posted December 15, 2006 Your not kidding by saying it was a great hunt. That buck has awesome tine length. It does kind of surprise me that he doesnt have better eye gaurds.
