WampusCat Report post Posted March 6, 2014 Bet you're excited. Headed to VA tomorrow and droppin off a Kreiger barrel and Rem 700 action on the way. Hopefully it will be a coues slaying 6.5x47 lapua when I get back. Those Conquest can really take a beating. I faceplanted in a dry cobblestone creek bottom a couple years ago packing out a friends buck. Dropped the heavy barreled AR right on the scope. No issues other than cosmetic. mmtx10 Report post Posted March 6, 2014 Badass man. I just placed the order! My Criterion barrel and savage action will enjoy the competition when you come down for a hunt this next season.
PRDATR Report post Posted March 6, 2014 Badass man. I just placed the order! My Criterion barrel and savage action will enjoy the competition when you come down for a hunt this next season. Which model did you decide upon? I bought the 3x15 Conquest HD last year to replace a 20 year old Leupold VXll and the clarity difference was noticeable. I got the Z PLEX 800 and I did not find out until after I bought it that for the ZPLEX to be accurate the scope needs to stay on 11.5X for the load I use. rcdinaz Report post Posted March 6, 2014 iStrelok is free and it will calculate all the points in your reticle at any magnification. From there you can even print the drops and tape it to your stock. We did this with another ballistic reticle and my 12 year old daughter was comfortable out to 500yds on targets. Animals never end up at exact ranges anyway so with any ballistic reticle there is a bit of holdover involved. Give it a try.

mmtx10 Report post Posted March 6, 2014 Anybody know where I can get a sunshade for it? I did a quick Google and saw some for about $50 Anybody know where to look for cheap?
rcdinaz Report post Posted March 6, 2014 If you went with target turrets then try the shooter app or similar. Much better for turrets, iStrelock works better for ballistic reticles.
