TOBY Report post Posted February 28, 2014 CBE, spott hogg, sure-loc. Get at a three pin and use the bottom for a floater...that 1 pin will bite you in the butt when you least expect it.
Redman Report post Posted February 28, 2014 I agree with Toby, I have been using a movable sight for 3 years, started with a single pin, but now have a 4 pin (SureLoc).
elpepe25 Report post Posted March 1, 2014 Spot hogg tommy or boss. or cbe tek series. I agree w/ the above use a 3 pin housing. use the top 2 pins for your 20-30 or 30-40, then start your tape and use the bottom pin for farther distances.

Coues assassin Report post Posted March 1, 2014 Thank you to everyone who responded, may be a stupid question but with a 3 pin sight are the first two fixed for certain yards and then the third pin acts like a single pin sight where you can adjust it on the fly from say 50 to 60 to 70 just by moving up and down like a one pin? If so I'm sold on the 3 pin. Thanks
elpepe25 Report post Posted March 1, 2014 the whole group moves when you adjust it, you just use the bottom pin as your floater. so for example you set up your 3 pins for 20-30-40. your tape will start at at 40, this is your "home setting". so if you need to shoot farther you use as a single pin "mover" from there using only your bottom pin (ignoring the rest as they are now irrelevant). this allows you to have single yard accuracy and dial in for distance, while keeping you ready for the bull that charges in and catches you with your pants down. i personally use a 5 pin with the same scheme. 20-30-40-50-60, then utilizing the bottom pin and a sight tape i can shoot as far as needed with 1 yard accuracy. afmalinois Report post Posted March 1, 2014 I've got the G5 sight that has 3 fixed and one floater. I havent had any issues yet. I keep the floater set at 50 but can always adjust to longer range if the need arrises. Good luck finding what works best for you!
