creed_az_88 Report post Posted January 9, 2007 Mule deer are rutting hard down here in cochise county but whitetail, im not so sure. I have only found a couple small rubs and no scrapes and the bucks are somewhat still together. Looks like a 1950's junior high dance with all the bucks on one side of the room and all the does on the other. Oh yeah i saw one spike chasing a doe in 30a but there were 3 other bucks on the same hill and they were not interested at all. creed Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
azcouesandelk Report post Posted January 9, 2007 Mule deer are going crazy was able to see 2 different bucks tend does in 36a. Bucks have herds of 8 to 20 does with them which is making stalking difficult. Whitetail are showing some rut. Saw 1 good buck in 36a chasing a doe but most of the bucks are just staying close to does not really going balls to the wall yet. This next week should change some things hopefully.
