Has anybody seen the Cabelas Euro HD 15x56's?

I haven't but for the price they can't be beat. I personally think they're better than any vortex. And the new cabelas warranty is the best in the business. If there is something wrong with them they'll give you a new pair no questions asked.

Not true. . Cabelas warranty changed to lifetime warranty on manufacturers defects only after 1 year. If you break them after that you're screwed. Vortex is the only one with the unconditional warranty for life. And the vortex razor 12X 50 ' s are about as good as it gets without spending $2000. They are both very close but with the vortex warranty it was a no brainer for me to go for the vortex.

I just talked with a rep on Saturday about it. It's only on the euro hds. These are $1600 and have fluorite glass. Your razors have and ed glass not in the same class as fluorite. The razors are a good deal but I'd rather pay for these, 100 to 200 dollars less or more for European glass rather China or Japan depending on the model. And comparing a 12x to 15x Bino is like comparing apples to oranges.

What I meant was last Saturday I spoke with a rep at cabelas about they're warranty. He told me if there's anything ever wrong with the euro hd's you could bring them back and they'd replace them no questions asked. I understood it as if you broke them as well... I didn't ask specifically though if it was your fault so you might right about the warranty. On to the glass that's in these binos, vortex razor's and the meopta/euro hd's. The razor's have a basic ed glass in them, which is still a good glass. The meopta use a fluorite glass(swarovski, leica and other high end european companiesuse this glass). Swarovski and leica etc use a little bit better fluorite glass though. The fluorite glass is a better quality glass than your basic Chinese or Japanese made ed glass. Also the coatings on the meopta are better, meaning they're brighter, sharper, clearer, and will last a life time. The coatings vortex use are good and like you said are a good bang for your buck, but they break down over time. And aren't as clear, bright, etc. I have a pair of vortex vipers that have done this when I bought a pair in 08 and just had them sent in to get all 4 lenses replaced. Hopefully this post makes a little more sense. I think the meopta line is a better bang for your buck because yeah you pay a couple hundred more or so and on some models it's the same price even but your getting a higher quality of glass. And comparing the 12x50 razor's to a 15x56 is kind of comparing apples to oranges, you can get 800-1200 more yds easy with the 15s not to mention the detail and finding deer better in the shadows with the closer stuff. I am a fan of vortex I think they fill the gap between Bushnell and swarovski nicely. They are however cutting some corners that I myself aren't a big fan of. They have horrible eye relief on their rifle scopes, you can Google it. I've had a couple buddies get scoped pretty good with them haha. And they are now ruining the hd term by adding it to almost every model they produce. And last with their 15x50 and now 20x56 models. Both of those just offer horrible light gathering capabilities. And +1 on the used swarovski thing.

So all in all, Meopta fills that gap I mentioned above between swarovski and vortex. You don't have to pay as much for the swaros but are getting a better optic in every way for a couple hundreds dollars more.
