bullwidgeon Report post Posted December 9, 2006 Lark emailed me some pictures to post. He got a new chute plane this summer and decided to do a bunch of hunting this year out of his new toy. Here is a carp he found from the air that he was able to crash land close enough to and then shoot. Apparently carp are not that smart and don't run off after a sasquatch crash lands a glider with a lawn mower engine strapped to it next to them... After that, he took some buddies to the north pole for a reindeer hunt. They didn't find any reindeer but they did find two bull elk from the new glider. After a long grueling stalk done mostly by mushing dog sleds across the tundra they got within range of these two fine bulls. Lark is 9 foot tall and 500 pounds so going by that both these bulls should easily score over 400 inches, not bad for a coveted unit 7B North Pole tag. He has gotten the glider repaired and more 2 stroke oil in the engine and is currently lost outside of Payson trying to help some buddies track down another spike elk. Hopefully he finds the secret landing strip on Hardscrabble Mesa and makes it back sometime next week so he can attempt to defend himself... Bret M.
