vmartinez Report post Posted February 25, 2014 The family and I are heading up to Alpine for a weekend and really wanted to look for some sheds, I really have never hunted for sheds before so I'm looking for any tips and maybe some general areas. Thanks Vince

bonecollector777 Report post Posted February 25, 2014 I'm sure there are still some lying around from last year but don't expect any browns as they haven't dropped yet. I for whatever reason have always found more sheds right on the edge of drainages. If you have a little drainage coming down into a draw or canyon check those out. Southern facing slopes are usually good and really thick timber where they try and get away from the snow from last year.

hornhunter10 Report post Posted February 25, 2014 Usually do better on north faces for whatever reason. Try to hit sides of hills, drainages, places where four wheelers can't get. That's usually where I do best.
