jamaro Report post Posted December 6, 2006 Hey Everybody.. In the past I have always hunted water sources or saddles...This year I found a long ridge that really looks good to me. It is in the high country and I just have a feeling about it... Do you think rutting bucks will run up and down the top of a ridge during the rut??? flagcoueskiller Report post Posted December 6, 2006 In my experience they will do anything during the rut. It seems they congregate in flatter areas during the rut, though certainly not exclusively. My 2 cents is if it looks good to you, give it a go. Good luck! Joe
elkhunter Report post Posted December 6, 2006 If you can find good concentration of Does at the top and bottom of the ridge, it'll be a good bet that them bucks'll be running back and forth in that area
