HELP!! NEED TIRES!!

Recommended Posts

Well.......Have had 2 flat tires the last two days! Need advice on tires for my ford ecoboost 4x4. came with the crappy wranglers. Looking for a 10 ply that will withstand mesquite thorns but not hurt my gas mileage. Is that possible. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Side note......Both tires I have flattened got a spine threw sidewall so they are having to be replaced. What a fricken joke!! Im so pissed!!! Any help greatly appreciated. thanks, Jake

Goodyears suck!! I blew thru around 10 on my gmc and Toyota. If not for the tire warranty I would of got rid of them sooner. I switched to BFG all terrains on both. Just replaced the gmc tires with 58000 and the Toyota has 64000 on them which I'm replacing next week. I never had a flat on either set with bfg's (knok on wood!!) if your in Tucson let me know, might be able to get you a decent price.

I am a BFGoodrich tire fan without getting into custom off-road tires they are a good buy.

Look into Big O Tires sale this weekend. Buy 2 get 2 free. If you don't like Big O then go to discount and they'll match the offer. Good luck

The stock GY ATR are no bueno. I have been running Wrangler Silent Armor Load Range E. An awesome quiet radial that is bulletproof (literally 2 ply are Kevlar).

when I had to run Goodyear to keep the warranty I tried the Kevlar ones and blew out two. I'm glad your having good luck with them.

I would run goodyear over BFG. Just a personal preference, but I have had lots of "chunking" out on BFG all-terrains. Might get 30000 before they are rotting and starting to chunk. Goodyear Kevlars, either A/t or duratracs would be my choice.

I'm running Cooper Discoverer ATP. Been to the Strip. Up on the Rim country. Desert country around Tonto Basin. And desert flats south of the valley. Tires have performed great with no issues!

I've got the same truck, I replaced stock tires at 1000 miles. I put on the toyo at2 extreme tires. They have been through a lot of rough country and still going strong.

Toyo AT2 great tires, quiet, smooth riding & nice tread pattern. I run them on my f-350 4x4. I used to swear by BFG, But not anymore the toyos at2 are

rated for 60,000 miles which is awesome for an off road tire. They have been on my truck a year & have zero wear.

On my 2nd set of Hankook Dynapro Mud's. They have a different compound than KM2's and don't chunk as easy. Got 60K out of the 1st set and never any flats.........
