PatrickJr Report post Posted February 15, 2014 Hollis-Jefferson should have gone to the free throw line at the end of OT.
Flatlander Report post Posted February 15, 2014 Wah Wah Wah excuses are like arm pits . . . UA fans should have enough self respect to not make a bunch of lame excuses. That's a great team, don't cheapen what they have done by pretending they depend on the refs to win games. They lost, that's it.
520HUNT Report post Posted February 15, 2014 Congrats to the devils... The Wildcats could lose every one of there remaining game this year and still get a higher NCAA seed than ASU...
BeardownAZ Report post Posted February 15, 2014 Herb Sendeks a good coach and he got the most out of his team these last few weeks playing good. UA on the other hand has some serious issues on offense. If they don't shore that up, it'll cost em early in the tourney. Should of been two technicals at end of 2nd OT, storming court with time and Carson hanging on rim. Oh well, should've played better and it wouldn't matter.
520HUNT Report post Posted February 15, 2014 The game should have finished with Wildcats shooting 4 free throws for the technicals and then get the ball back... You can't hang on the rim... And fans can't rush the court during the game...
muleskinner Report post Posted February 15, 2014 When you miss that many free throws, you can't look anywhere else to explain the loss. Officiating was suspect, Carson should have been assessed a technical, ASU fans should be banned from games for the rest of the season...still, make 4 more free throws and none of it matters.
BeardownAZ Report post Posted February 15, 2014 I'm more concerned with the offense and free throws than the loss tonight. Terrible! This loss won't linger as long as they win the conference. But more shooting like that and it might not happen. It's like the team that beat San Diego State, Michigan, UCLA and Duke has just gone away.
kwp Report post Posted February 15, 2014 All I gotta say is that game was painful to watch. UA if full of top tier athletes who clearly practice their dunks more than jump shots. ASU offense was spread the floor and watch Jahii dribble around. Both teams had a chance to win at the end of regulation and couldn't even hit the rim. I can't believe there wasn't a Waltonism on that. Then there were the free throws...
naturebob Report post Posted February 15, 2014 I allways root for both teams thru out the year. So I was happy who ever won. Both teams will go nowhere in the tourney. That's if ASU even makes it. They are as boring as ever and can't free throws. They might win one game if they get in the tourney. The Cats will go sweet 16 at best unless someone decides to take over this team and be a leader. They are too unselfish, and can't shoot free throws either. That will kill em in the tourney. No one on either team is ready to go pro. I hope Gordon doesn't make the mistake. He's got no shot. Johnson needs a better out side shot too to go to the next level. Carson needs to improve in all aspects of the game to be a point guard in the NBA. Good game for the State of AZ. on national tv as the only big game of the nite Nationally. Congrats Devils. that might get them in the tourney. .........BOB! SunDevil Report post Posted February 15, 2014 Patrick, like when Nogales North played Oregon in football a couple of years ago? problem with pointing fingers is there are 3 left pointing back at you. 53% from the FT line is not going to get it done. 1 more and the game does not even go into OT. Please don't blame the refs for Nogales North not winning the game. They had their chances and blew it at the free throw line.

naturebob Report post Posted February 15, 2014 Forgot to add this ,as far as fans storming the court, that is normal thru out the country when You beat a top team, not even a question there. Technical on Carson ,they did miss that but it whouldn't have made a difference anyway. Plus they probly whould have missed the shots. Coming from a pretty neutral fan , don't blame it on the refs. Hollis Jefferson play was a good no call as well, they were both going for the ball. Cat fans don't be sore loosers. It too bad You lost Ashley. Could of won it all with him. You guys got a by far better program and allways will as long as Herb is around . Show some class and just eat one this time. Next year You will clobber the Devils once again..( not in football tho).........BOB!
