living in my culvert?

Recommended Posts

So my wife calls me in a panic (city girl but learning my hunting ways) says she just had a javelin sneak up on her while she goes out to the mail box in the middle of the day. The mail box is about 15 yards in front of my house in a populated neighborhood in prescott valley. She can have a bit of a wild imagination when it comes to wild animals.she proceeds to tell me how she's worried about our 3 year old coming out and getting torn to shreds or getting her leg taken off while she's trying to protect the two month old in her arms. I guess while she's contemplating her doom the javelina decides to meanders into our culvert and takes a nap. Hmmm if I thump him with my bow while he's taking a nap in my front yard is it poaching. I could say I was protecting my children from the impending doom :-)

There was a guy in Prescott I think last year? that was facing criminal charges for shooting a pig in the front yard of his cabin under "self defense". Get a HAM tag and quietly remove it. Late GF has been sending teams to kill pigs if they present a problem instead of relocating.
