MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted February 12, 2014 In the end we as adult hunters are paying for the youth to go hunting with 5 dollar license. This is my last year with my daughter being a youth but I am still all for the extra fee to build the new force of hunters.
DesertBull Report post Posted February 12, 2014 Why dont we just make it a $50 app fee and $500 for a tag. More is better, right? Think how awesome the campfires And star gazing will be if pitch in a little more. Should result in a 350 bull on every hill too since money = wildlife. ctafoya Report post Posted February 12, 2014 The $5 youth price is a good deal i think. But i ended up paying the higher price because i didn't like the limited hunting options for elk.
THOR Report post Posted February 12, 2014 I don't make a lot of money but $13 isn't bad to do what we all love. I think it went up to help feed the lions in 33...God knows how much that cost and that was only stage one.

Chef Report post Posted February 12, 2014 It all comes down to priorities. I know people complaining about the adjusted pricing that smoke, do Starbucks everyday, drink energy drinks all day, etc. I guess they prefer to spend their money on those things. I hunt. A lot. I help out others on their hunts even more. I do without certain things so that I can. That's where my priorities are at the moment.

I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't buy energy drinks all day, I try to save as much money as I can to be able to afford spending as much time in the woods and providing for my family that I can. My priorities are on my family and hunting; I can still complain about the fees. Don't start knocking on peoples way of living just to pat yourself on the back. There's folks just like you that have the same priorities and put money away to do things just like you. We can still be upset at the increase.
Tdub Report post Posted February 13, 2014 />In the end we as adult hunters are paying for the youth to go hunting with 5 dollar license. This is my last year with my daughter being a youth but I am still all for the extra fee to build the new force of hunters. I wish this was true, however when I put some youth in for the spring hunts out of curiosity I compared the prices. For my daughter that is under 14 it cost me $18 more with new rates. For my nephew who is 14 and with buying the youth hunt and fish combo(because I put him in last October) I saved $.50. So the lower license fees for youth are deceiving. But i ended up paying the higher price because i didn't like the limited hunting options for elk. its my understanding that the hunters that have youth license, can still apply for full price tags, they are not limited to youth only tags. Couzer Report post Posted February 16, 2014 Just out of curiosity how many adults have their kids earn their own money to pay for the tag and license?
