How do you like your....

Recommended Posts

I am particulary partial to it being boiled... a dash of salt, a pinch of pepper, and maybe a slice of French bread to mop up the bowl.. can't beat it!

MMMM... I only get this delicacy about once a year so I'm gonna really savor it this season!!

How 'bout you??

This is the first year in a while I don't get to taste that sweet taste. I normally grill mine up after marinating it in some tequilla lime marinade.

I usually make jerky out of mine and save it for next years hunt. Tough chewing, but it will hang with you for a while. I like the sound of that receipe with the tequilla. Might have to try that one.

I usually follow my soup up with a hit of mary jane and a couple, or a lot of brewskies. I try to forget all about that hunt and all the mistakes i made. J/k. Sometimes it's not always bad when you got to eat your tag. If your a true hunter, you know that just being blessed with the opportunity to get afield is something worth all the money and time to have a chance at one of ellusive Coues Deer. Any fun hunt is a successful hunt, in a true hunter's eye.

In my opinion I have only had one unsuccessful hunt. That wasn't even for big game. My grandpa had a heart attack out in the field while quail hunting 2 years ago. Other than that every hunt has been a successful one in my opinion.

Yeah, I would definitely consider that an unsuccessful hunt. Good to see that you see all your other hunts successful.

They also make great gifts, I like to take my unfilled tags and sneak up on one of my buddies with the backing removed and quickly wrap the tag around their arm (this works best on guys with really hairy arms). :D

It was extremely difficult to part with my UNused archery Antelope tag this year knowing full well that I may never see another Arizona Antelope tag :( ...............my son got that one.................he's got real hairy arms :D
