Vitals Report post Posted February 5, 2014 What's the backpacking/spike camp hunting opportunities like in AZ? In California, finding water isn't an issue like it seems it would be in the arid southern part of the state. I imagine there are some great places to pack out for some camping as well.... Post some AZ photos! I cant figure out how to upload my own...
BackwoodsHunter Report post Posted February 5, 2014 If you scroll down a few posts I did a backpack hunt back in jan! It was awesome, and there's tons of good info. As far as water, just depends on where you go. Some creeks run most of the year, and many springs always have water.

CouesWhitetail Report post Posted February 5, 2014 Tons of backpacking opportunities....Arizona is predominantly public land, so the possibilities are limitless. If you do a search for backpack hunts in the forum you should find several threads with pics.
rclouse79 Report post Posted February 5, 2014 There is some water in the area I go for coues some of the time. To be on the safe side and have a manageable pack weight while hunting you have to haul in some water and hide it before the season.
