Jim Beam sold to the Japanese

Recommended Posts

Sad day in AMERICA.

Can't even make BOURBON without outsourcing.

Budweiser owned by UR-A-PEE-UN's too.

LOL..... Pretty interesting......

I think the puchasing company was already distributing Jim Beam in Japn anyway. Also, the compay that bought them has been a maker/disributor of their own brand of spirits in Japan fo many years. My guess is that it is much less about 'outsourcing', and much more about simply making a multi billion $$ investment in a good/strong brand. As for making it in China, uh... I really doubt that would happen. ;)

So depressing... well, the only thing I can do now is just pour my Jim Beam out on the ground. Can't help it if I happen to miss the ground and hit my glass with three cubes in it..

Never liked that northern bourbon whiskey anyway. I prefer my whiskey from TN...like me. Grew up in the backyard of both Jack and George. :D

China owns 25% of our borrowed debt. Pretty soon we will see an Asian flag flying at the Whitehouse. Plus foreigners own a huge chunk of Wall Street.

That's the problem with America. Greed makes Corporations, sell, or pimp, everything out to foreign countries.

There is no shame left in the USA.

Whiskey has been very popular in Japan for the last 10 years and getting more popular. I only see good coming from this as they are perfectionists and JB is,,,,,,,,,,well JB.

Much longer than that probably the last 20 or more. I used to bring back single malt that was 15-20 yr and it was a steal at the duty free in most of Asia. The Japanese have some great whiskey's they have been making for a very long time but they are really expensive. Would prefer it stay American owned but Japan is probably the best alternative as they are crazy about the best processes and quality, and they dont care for China much.

I prefer good old American small batch bourbon myself. dang ow I am thirsty!
