hunthard Report post Posted January 27, 2014 http://sportsoptics.zeiss.com/hunting/en_us/binoculars/conquest-binoculars/conquest-hd-binoculars.html#models I think I already have my mind set that I'm going to get the new swaros but I also have been looking at the new zeiss. I've heard the price of the new zeiss is going to be 500ish dollars cheaper than the swaros. I'm sure the swaros are going to better and if it wasn't for me being a cyclops I'd settle for the slc neus. According to the new zeiss and swaro specs I'll be able to look through both. Truly a miracle haha. Anyways but the field of view at 1000yds for the zeiss says 80ft.... I'm sure they meaning 80m because the swaro are 78m/234ft. Anyways was wondering if any of you who went to the shot show got to look though them at all?
JMP Report post Posted January 28, 2014 The new Zeiss will retail at Gila Outdoor for $1500, that's a grand cheaper than the Swaros, and the glass is outstanding. I looked through them at SHOT. They're awesome. The Swaros are outstanding too, but not $1,000 better. The Zeiss start shipping to dealers in April. The Swaros pushed back until March, is what I'm told as of yesterday. muledeerarea33? Report post Posted January 28, 2014 decisions, decisions, do I sell my 10x56 victory's to get these or just save the cash?
Swivelhead Report post Posted January 28, 2014 Apparently the marketing team at Zeiss moved quickly to fill a niche that Swarovski has abandoned. Depending on the IPD range of the new Zeiss I'd say Vortex will take a hit too. Nice to have another choice in the 15X category.
