arizonaelkhunter Report post Posted January 27, 2014 anyone out there know a good place in Arizona that will make leather products such as gloves from processed elk hide?
metau Report post Posted January 27, 2014 Buy some tooling and do it yourself. It's been years since I did any leatherworking, but patterns were readily available and the satisfaction fro wearing/using stuff one made was awesome. Used to be a place on the Tempe/Scottsdale border that had all the supplies, tools and templates one would need.
DesertBull Report post Posted January 27, 2014 There used to be a place in Colorado that would let you trade hides for gloves and belts, etc. You ship them hide, they send you back the finished leather goods.

azslim Report post Posted January 27, 2014 you can get patterns at Tandy Leather, one on Greenway west of I17 or can get stuff at The Leather Factory, 19th Ave south of McDowell for gloves you need someone that knows what they are doing, tooling takes practice to be decent, just plain leather items aren't hard
