rageinthesage Report post Posted February 27, 2014 I looked through kaibab 20 power and they do not do a thing for me, if you're going to spend good money on glass swaro is the only way to go. Imo
bonecollector777 Report post Posted February 27, 2014 Never looked through the 20X56 but I can't see how much light can get into them. The exit pupil is less than 3mm. The 15X56's is almost 4 mm and the 12X50's is like 4.2mm. To match light gathering capabilities the 20X would have to be 20X80mm or something similar. Just don't see the need for 20's when you can get 15 or 12's. If you want extra power buy a spotting scope that you can get some good light gathering with. PRDATR Report post Posted February 28, 2014 Check out steiner 20x 80 or 15x80 excellent glass not as heavy as they look Yeah they are. LOL I have a pair of 80's and they are huge. Ask Ernesto. But,,, They do get it done. The cost is the space they take up in my frame pack and the weight.

curtimus Report post Posted March 15, 2021 I have the Nikon 20x56 and use them alot...they are dark but useful on a bright day at 500 bucks...I too wonder how much brighter and clearer the Kaibab 20 x56 are...I am seriously considering them or the razor 18x56...I like the vortex glass...swaros are out of my budget.
