GRONG Report post Posted January 26, 2014 Went out Friday to get the rack and shed I glassed up last week. It was a killer of a hike but I came out with a few. I went down and picked up that dead bull first. It was way smaller than it looked from 600 yards away, its just a 4 point. It looks like it had been stabbed in the face with another bull's antler just below the eye through it's tear duct just below it's eye orbital. That whole part of it's skull was blackened with infection and the hole went all the way below and behind it's opposite eye. There was some scar tissue on the skull starting but I'm guessing it finally died from infection. What a suck and cruel way to go. I side hilled up canyon underneath some enormous cliffs towards a white 6pt I'd seen from the opposite side of the canyon. I was literally going hand over fist trying to make it up some stuff all the while following an elk trail. Those dang things are like sheep some times! Walked up on this shed while on that trail. It was dropped last year and is still brown from being under that brush too which was a bonus. I was pretty confident it was the match to the one I'd already glassed as I was within a couple hundred yards of it. Here's the one I spotted the week before and it's definitely the match. I found a couple more on the way and here's a pic of all 4 I loaded them up and hauled them out of there. It's Sunday now and I'm still sore, I guess that means I just need to go do it some more. I have no idea why these pictures are all sideways as they're not on my computer. Sorry about that everyone!

GRONG Report post Posted February 1, 2014 Is it me or does that set look like they were just dropped? It's just you. Ha! The right side of the set is brown because it was under that bush but the match is white.
