tjhunt2 Report post Posted January 25, 2014 Good luck and I hope the owner reconnects with his pup. Hopefully the coyotes don't find her first. TJ

dcshorthairs Report post Posted January 25, 2014 From the OP We Found Her Early this morning tired and scared. The story is. I had just bought the dog the same day. I was on my way home and stopped for a break and she just bolted. After looking for 4 hrs (till dark) I called the breeder for any ideas. He said he was on his way to come and help. He drove 4 hrs up from Yuma. I met him at 1am at the exit. I took him to the last place I saw her. He told me to honk my horn a few times called for a while, ask me if I had a gun and told me to fire a shot so I did. Called her again and she about knocked us down coming towards us. Not sure what to think about the dog but Randy Randall from Desert Point Kennels is as good as it gets. Thanks Randy
PRDATR Report post Posted January 26, 2014 That is some great news. GSP's have a lot of energy, as you discovered. They are headstrong and love to run, run, run and then run some more. Probably the best overall gundog but getting there takes some dedication and a lot of one on one.

Mocha1545 Report post Posted January 27, 2014 Glad they found her and kudo's to the breeder! My favorite breed of dog but they can run! Had a male that would bolt any chance he got. Almost had to buy a Cheetah cause it would the only thing that could catch him! And he was still one of the best dogs that ever owned me!!!
