Good cameras to video hunts

What camera do you guys and gals like the best to film hunts and scouting trips. I'm trying to figure out what is a good all around camera by price, picture/sound quality, durability, battery life and most of all zoom so you can reach out there and get good footage of those far out trophies. I've been asking around a bit but I figures I would ask those who actually do it and can give good input from experience from cameras you have owned and put to the test yourselves.

We use the Canon XA 10 and XA 20 great compact cameras but not cheap. We also have a few of the canon vixia camera and they work great too. What ever you get make sure its HD and you have it on a tripod.
