Sheep expert Question

Recommended Posts

I have an uncle who is in the max bonus point pool. He is 58 and not physically able to do a tough hunt. What are his choices for sheep hunts that could get him reletively close to a sheep in a car, boat or ATV? He is not handicapped or anything like that, he is just not going to do any backpack type hunts, or hike 5 miles up a mountain. Thanks for your help.

outfitter with mules all the way, best chance i would say. why wait for that many points and not put everything possible in your favor.

You have many options that would provide a great hunt for your uncle. As far as Desert Sheep are consider you can definitely do it in 22 by boat. If you are looking to shoot a rocky mountain bighorn than the first 6A hunt or 27.

Good Luck

I have not personally hunted this unit, but my understanding is that 44B North has both quality rams and easier access and terrain.

You can't beat 22 for quality.

15d is pretty easy for a 160 inch Ram.22 can be tough the thing about sheep it's all about scouting, you spend 4 months looking for them find the one you want,it's

usally not much of a hunt in most units they are very tame very easy to get in bow range 6a with max points might be a great choice you can normally walk right up to them and take there picture,I would go with 6a you can kill a monster ram there.

If I were you I would give ColburnandScottOutfitters a call. They are sponsors and will have no problem answering your questions.
