4mainbeam Report post Posted January 15, 2014 I know that I have researched this before, but want to clarify again since I am not from AZ and don't hunt there as much as I would like. I know you can't hunt with detachable mags in excess of 5 rounds, but can you use a firearm that hold more than 5 in say a tube mag. I am going to be hunting javelina and was thinking of taking my wincherster model 94 in 44 mag, but it holds six or seven in the tube mag. Also, we drew our 3rd choice (for a leftover tag) and will be hunting 36C. Sounds like a decent unit to hunt but perhaps not the easiest to access. If anyone has any advice for me on how to navigate it or where to locate some javi's, I would appreciate it. Thanks,Danny Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

khmer6 Report post Posted January 15, 2014 Only federal migratory birds have mag restriction of 2+1. We got rid of our mag capacity and also allows supressors. If you were inclined to hunt with an AR and drum magazine go for it, for varminting. If you need a drum for pigalinas there might be issues lol Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

4mainbeam Report post Posted January 17, 2014 Thanks guys. I was just worried about carrying something that could hold more rounds than legal. Glad you guys got rid of that regulation. I will post some pics of my deer and story at some point. I'm out of town and using my wife's phone to post...nightmare! I will admit now that it doesn't actually have 4 main beams though. What appears to be the second set comes off the brow tines. Very unique freak...and my first coues so I am ruined, and my dad shot the 107" running with him. Not going to ever best that day! Anyone have any do or do not do advice for 36C? I really want to find my brother a pig cause he has never even seen one, although I will admit now that I will be mostly looking for deer while glassing...just can't help it.
