El Fuego Report post Posted December 5, 2006 I have a different caliber in Weatherby Magnum and I have found that the factory ammo works very well in the gun. If you do not reload, I would suggest going with factory loads. Enjoy the gun and let us know what you think of the caliber. I have, at times, thought about purchasing the caliber. blaserman Report post Posted December 5, 2006 I reload , I shoot Nosler PT at 3400 fps witha 26" barrel . Shoots very well and flat. not as fast as a 257 stw but close. This caliber was made to shoot mule deer , if the bullet is in the right spot it should smoke a coues.
muley Report post Posted December 6, 2006 What grain of bullet? MuleyBull, I found another buck for the hunt, got lots of video, only a 2x3 broke off a pt., mature buck though, I got him rolled up like a dog on a windy day. He looked pretty tired.
