Found some nice ones

Recommended Posts

While helping out on a rifle bull hunt this weekend in 5bn, I managed to find some nice sheds. The elk has it's eye gaurd broken off, but had no other damage. Now the other shed I am not sure about. I thought for sure it was a muley until I started looking at it some more. It seems to have the curve like a whitetail without any branching like a muley. What do you guys think? David

I'd say muley too, BUT, I have seen and videotaped coues in 5BN, as far N. as a couple miles S of I40, so they do live there. I talked to a guy who tracked mt. lions that had radio collars with gps tracking capabilities, and he found a 110+ coues in the same country just S. of I-40

Ain't no Coues in 5BN. Nope, ain't haven' it. That is laughable! Never was, never will be. People gonna think you're nuts! Too High, too flat, too many mule deer and elk. Snows too much. Not enough cactus. Too close to Flagstaff. Don't make sense. Would be a waste of time lookin' for 'em. And if there was, they wouldn't get big. Not enough to eat, and the locals would have poached 'em out. I know all the poachers - they ain't said nothin'. Ain't seent 'em! Banish the thought.

Can't be any coues in 5BN cuz there's no whitetail general season in 5BN. Now someone will be saying there are coues on Mount Elden north of Flag. Nope, ain't believing it. The Anasazi in Walnut Canyon probably wiped em out 700 years ago iffin the coues did make it this far north.
