AZ8 Report post Posted January 12, 2014 National Weather Service issued its current water supply outlook. Nothing surprising really. Ominous part of the report: LONG RANGE WEATHER FOR FEBRUARY...MARCH...APRIL ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES FOR ALL OF ARIZONA BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR ALL OF ARIZONA https://nwschat.weather.gov/p.php?pid=201401081623-KPSR-FGUS75-ESFPSR
Coues79 Report post Posted January 12, 2014 Hope it ends up being wrong but that's what it's looking like. Too bad because many places had a phenomenal monsoon.... would've been great to have a decent winter. If I had max points for elk I would be considering the lack of water and the affect on antler growth.
PRDATR Report post Posted January 12, 2014 The USA from the Midwest to Cali has been in drought conditions for a few years with no relief in sight. As far as AZ goes this is the website to monitor. http://www.azwater.gov/AzDWR/StatewidePlanning/drought/DroughtStatus2.htm
AZ8 Report post Posted January 12, 2014 Agreed. Arizona and specifically the southwest US, is always in a perpetual drought. It's the norm here. But it's nice to have a couple wet winters or a good monsoon to break up the long, dry periods.
