How's about a "Let's Bash The AZG&FD" section ???

Recommended Posts

Another problem with some comments is that the commenters do not have the right information. Then others feed off that bad info and the beat goes on. Occasionally the right info is presented by someone and they are bashed to the point that they say "I dont have time to debate with these people who cant handle the truth."

Amanda ,

Since it's obvious that several members of CWT have a bug up their collective asses about anything the AZ G&FD does and continually muck up other threads and topics, perhaps we can isolate the threads into one section. That way other members will have the option to wade through the crap or ignore it. As it is now, any thread topic often winds up being degraded into bashing although someone opened it because of an innoculous thread topic.

Heck, you might even call it "AZLANCE'S Let's Bash The AZG&FD" as an award for prior participation.

I think it is refreshing to hear both sides. I might not agree with everything AZLance has to say, but last time I checked he had a right to express his 1st amendment right. And he has brought up some valid points about some major problems with our Game and Fish Department. I support the department, but lately they seem a little mis-guided.

I don't know who AZLance is or what all the hub hub is all about, but last I checked you DON'T have an unlimited right to express a "1st amendment right." this is a private forum and can be moderated/censored however the owner chooses. Do I have a right to have a religious service or peaceable assembly on your property's front yard?

I'm not on this forum all the time, so what did I miss? What thread is this all about, or was it already removed? If he was on your property trying to force religion on you, I understand your concern. I must have missed something. Never met the guy, but he helped me with finding an area awhile back.

Mr. Brown,

I didn't mean to start any static with you. I often read people thinking that they have a "right" to freedom of speech whenever and wherever. The First Amendment prevents Congress from abridging freedom of speech. This forum, like your front yard, is privately held. Congress doesn't have domain here (yet). If I don't want a certain assembly, religion, or kind of speech in my yard, house, car, or on my forum (if I had one) then I would have every right to say that I can regulate/censor it as I please. Just sayin' that's all. Thanks for listening. Have a great day. :)

Now this is my kinda topic. Game and fish needs to know and hear about when they screw up. Which sadly is quite often. Just like any other business that messes up and does nothing useful they receive complaints. You hear about it so much here because we are all hunters that have to deal with their crap. We give them our money to do a good job and they screw up a lot so we talk about them a lot. If they did their jobs and weren't so money hungry you wouldn't have to hear about it. But until they step it up you might as well get used to it.

Xnt... not really with you here..... People Do have a "right".. to freedom of speech whenever and wherever. This forum is a little different than your "front yard, car or house".. This really isn't a private forum.. more so a public forum as there are thousands of members on here. You are correct in that the mods/owner can censor you or ban you (rifleclown ring a bell?) but so far as I have seen they have yet a reason to ban Azlance. So until he is banned he can say whatever he wants about G$F on this site. In fact, azlance has tons of great posts and positive comments on this forum. His criticism of g&f is a small percentage of his contributions on here and is usually spot on. I see NO problem with questioning G&F. Our money funds them and if shanannigans are occurring they need to be held accountable. Fair is fair.. they should be congratulated when they do well and held accountable when they screw up. And.. I see a lot of posts on CWT about G&F doing great things as well. they have many good officers but also a few bad eggs.

Critter do you know what the Bill of rights is? It doesn't guarantee you can say whatever you want wherever you want. It just guarantees the Government can't inhibit that right. What happens on private property or a private forum is not subject to the 1st Amendment.

The 1st Amendment really isn't relevant to this topic. Personally I think if people want to cry about AZGFD that they should start a thread for it. Like BC777 did RE: The Officer whose elk was illegally tagged a while back. Then it's in a spot where everyone can choose to read it or not read it.

These same old debates are getting old. I think I am done for a while.

Quick word of advice for all u Sally's on here.... Take your issues right down to g&f's doorstep and say it to their face and do something about it instead of whining about it on here where it's gunna do nothing. Y'all remind me of a bunch of teenage girls talking $hit behind each others backs! Ever heard the term "squeaky wheel gets the oil"? Go "oil" g&f with your complaints and eventually u will be heard.

That doesn't make it "publically owned." Its publically owned if taxpayer dollars paid for it and it is managed by the government. This forum meets neither criteria. If the mods want to ban me for this useless civics discussion, that is entirely their choice. Trying to waive the Constitution in their face would just make me look silly.

Nope. I'm new here.

but so far as I have seen they have yet a reason to ban Azlance.

Me neither.

my point in posting had nothing to do with Azlance. it was about the nature of public vs. private ownership and what our "rights" really are.

I see NO problem with questioning G&F.

me neither.

Sounds great in theory but I doubt this is how you actually do it. Communication experts have studied that consumers complain to three times as many friends about a bad experience as they do about a good one. I surely wouldn't want a so called pat on the back for every little good thing I did at work and then to be publically excoriated every time I make a mistake. I've learned (the hard way) that its better to give people the benefit of the doubt. I would say that gross incompetence and chronic mismanagement needs to be addressed and corrected and I'm not necessarily saying one way or the other in this post whether that's the case with AZGFD.

Have a great day
