trophyhnter Report post Posted January 8, 2014 Shot a good buck! Well it was a great shot with a camcorder! While out trying to find javelina in a new unit, I found several bucks! The one above was bedded in a great position to stock. It was late in the day and the sun was already on him. I inadvertently chased a huge covey of quail right over him on my stock! I got to 45 yards and waited him out but he had moved up several yards above his last bedding spot before I got to him. Of course I didn't know that so I got a good sun/wind burn waiting for him to get up. When he did, he gave me a very little time to range the distance and draw while he was eating.
