Just trying to get my odds where I want them. How many points do you have? Fact is, if you want an early archery elk tag in AZ, they are high demand. There are no easy to draw tags with the units you mentioned. If you are set on drawing an elk tag this year, look into some of the late archery elk tags. Unit 9 filled in the Bonus pass and understand that when looking at the Bonus report, 31 of those apps that didn't draw were from 2nd choice (res/nr) guys that drew their 1st choices. You should be good with 15 points. The one NR tag for 23N drew in the Bonus pass and 12 residents that didn't draw, drew their 1st choice in another unit. I know the first choice hunts will be slim to none but pretty interested on what the 2nd choices will show as How bout, 1.
