Seems G & F ran out of sticky backed paper for our tags so lion tag from wally world is paper and directions on back say it all.. maybe we could each dropa a bottle of rubber cement off at our local G & F since they are having such troubles paying for supplies.

Guess they wanted to make sure no litter????

They printed my archery tag 5 times because of an alignment issue with the printer. I got a duplicate "because the line was so long and they couldn't contact the sup to void it out."

No wonder they ran out...

Yes the tags NOT from G & F are larger- stick way out of wallet and they suggest we carry in plastic bag then you are to zip tie-twist tie-lash it to critter. somehow..

Not sure . :() i know other states do similar just wasnt expecting normal tags from G & F office and a huge paper tag from walmart with the baggie twist tie instructions on back.. heck i lost a sticky tag off a bear and had to backtrack for it so how long is a piece paper gonna last tied on when haulingout of backwoods?????????

Charlie Foxtrot is hard at work on this operation...might as well be printing them ourselves from online, which would actually be a lot better!

Looks like it would be easy to put that tag back in your wallet once you get home...once again this appears to be a decision made someone who is not a hunter.

In New Mexico we had to print them ourselves this year. but they didnt specify what size paper so i printed mine on a 5x7 photo paper. there was a lot of information to print on a 5x7 and you couldnt read it very easily but hey im not dragging around a big ol' peice of paper in a zip lock bag just cuz they cant afford to print them.

So what do you do if you don't have a zip tie and a plastic bag?
take out latex glove, put tag in glove, blow glove up, tie 10ft piece of thread to glove, tie other end to animal. Note: thread must be Atleast 10ft long so AZGFD can easily identify glove from new 4x4.

While checking license and tag G&F will also check for Baggie and zip tie. If you don't have one, you are going to jail, your gun/bow will be confiscated and you will loose your hunting rights for life.

This is funny. Plenty of states require you to notch your tag and secure it to the animal. It's your responsibility to carry a tie wire or tape to secure it, this is how my pack lost it's zipper strings. Not that big of a deal. If it saves money, props to them for not pissing it down the toilet on stupid specialized printers and paper they have to give every license vendor.

I will be sticking mine in a ziplock bag and taping it to the animal to be sure I don't lose it. My goodness people, take 30 minutes and go read Who Moved My Cheese. Change isn't always bad.

Brand of baggie used wil be left to "officers own discrimination".. as long as he doesnt feel it will impede with wildlife in any way. ;)

Dude, tags purchased at azgfd have the sticky, retailers dont. WTF? Much like the way they handled the end of year sales, price increases, jaguar, sheep, antelope....blah, blah, blah.... It screams amateur hour.

Not selling tags except at G & F before 1st of Jan was inexcuseable, changing tags was just stupid considering still same sticky tag at G & F. So if they are getting more $$ from us while taking more away ?????? i guess when trophy hunts get charged premium all cow hunters get to laugh at them and say suck it up..
