Diesel Expert out there?

Recommended Posts

I need some help.

This is kind of a shot in the dark but I figured it might be worth that shot. The CWT community is one of the best, if not the best online communities. I am hoping one of you fellow hunters might have some advice for me.

I have a 2003.5 dodge 2500 diesel. It started to choke down on me the other day (push accelerator, nothing much happening). I limped it home and figured it might be the fuel filter. Changed that out and now it isn't starting.

I am not much of a mechanic, at all. I drained the line, changed the filter, primed it best I have been told but to no avail.

Probably either air in the lines, the lift pump is bad or worst case my injectors are failing.

Before I went to a diesel forum, or called the tow truck I thought I would take a chance and see if any of you might have some idea of troubleshooting this. Or better yet, if you know someone trustworthy I could get ahold of to come take a look at it. I am located up in north Tucson/Marana area.

I really appreciate it and thanks a ton for taking the time.

I am thinking the injectors may need to be rebuilt or replaced. I have known a couple of people that needed those replaced. I dont know of a diesel tech down there though.. If you were in Phx, i could set you up. Sorry and good luck to you.
