bowhuntaz1 Report post Posted January 8, 2014 This is my first year trapping and i've been only catching skunks. Is there any way I can keep from catching them? What kind of trap are you using? What kind of lure/bait? If you can adjust your pan tension on the pan to about 3 lbs that would help. Stay away from fishy lures/baits. Any pictures of your set up? SanPedroCoues Report post Posted January 8, 2014 The traps are duke #2 and I'm using fox frenzy by mark June's and some old chicken and I'm using dirt holes.
bowhuntaz1 Report post Posted January 8, 2014 Try a trash pile set with a cat gland lure. Basically make a cubby hole with one entrance, and toss some gland lure in the very back. I'm not the best at footholds. Try to PM Hyperwrx He is alot better than I am and is way more successful.

Hyperwrx Report post Posted January 9, 2014 If you are in an area with skunk its tough to not keep them out of a foothold. I have had a number this season. Set the pan tension on your foothold tighter. Some more recent catches.
