bowhuntaz1 Report post Posted December 31, 2013 I have nothing to compare against Scott. I have released 3 cats so far along with 2 fox. 2 cats were kittens, and the other was a large sow bellied female. The 2 fox were young.
Hunt7112 Report post Posted December 31, 2013 How much are you guys getting for your foxes?
Hyperwrx Report post Posted January 1, 2014 Last years average in AZ was $30. James- what is the tag on the foxes? Your fur put up looks great.

Its just a little Mylar bracelet. I run it through the eye to mouth to hang from the fur hanger.
Hyperwrx Report post Posted January 1, 2014 I understand. Good idea. Get a thick wire hanger. At one of the bottom corners of the triangle cut it and with pliers and on the wire that comes down make a slight hook in it. The other wire along the bottom make a slight hook facing downward. Fish your dried foxes onto the hanger's bottom wire through an eye hole and latch it back up. Your creating a fur hanger but cheap. Like this.
ajohunter Report post Posted January 8, 2014 I'm looking at getting some cage traps to place in some private land that came available. Which ones are you using?
bowhuntaz1 Report post Posted January 8, 2014 Bob Small's from http://www.briarpatchcages.com/ and Mercer Lawing from http://www.cagingbobcats.com/ Those are the best two cages IMHO Both catch cats. Bob's are stronger.
Big Browns Report post Posted January 8, 2014 Great job guy's! Have any of you had any luck trapping any Mt. Lion's?
bowhuntaz1 Report post Posted January 8, 2014 It's against the law to trap lions. I have had a lion circle one of my traps and walk away. Bob Small's cages were designed to keep lions from destrying the trap and killing bobcats inside the trap for the people up north. His traps have caught and held lions. Big Browns Report post Posted January 8, 2014 Thanks, I didn't know you couldn't trap Lion's. That sucks! It would be a great way to get them under control.
