CouesPursuit Report post Posted December 27, 2013 I am seeking an experienced welder's services for trade. ALL expenses paid, using the finished product (16.5 foot aluminum bass tracker), I would like to take the welder and their guest (1) on a full days worth of duck hunting or crappie fishing (whichever is preferred). The weld: I don't know much about it, other than aluminum requires lower heat and TIG or MIG welding, but I have 2 cracks in one of the keels at the bottom of my boat where there was some rubbing on the trailer. I can take photos and will add them to this post but I wanted to get a feeler out there in case the duck hunting option is enticing for someone. We'll need to get the keel fixed ASAP to take advantage of some cold January ducks if that's the case. Note: I would be more than happy to change ducks/crappie for other species, however I am most proficient in harvesting them specifically in comparison to others. Feel free to ask any questions from here, thanks for any interest.
CouesPursuit Report post Posted March 24, 2014 Well I threw myself out there on this one and it paid off in a great way. After a few PMs and a FTF, the boat is welded up and it looks like I've made a heck of friend in the process. The first of several fishing trips is scheduled. I'll let the user announce himself if he so desires but this turns out to be my best post on CWT. Amazing the caliber of people out there, thanks to the admin as well for this part of the site.
