coueshunter Report post Posted November 20, 2006 I took my son Travis out friday night for his junior hunt. I ran into Stanley & his son this past saturday. It was great to see alot of kids out and the helpers out like Younghunter trying to get a buck for the youth. My son Travis missed a good buck yesterday morning and is kinda bummed about not shooting a deer, but at least he got to see alot of deer, shoot at a nice coues deer and be out in field. Travis passed up a nice 3x3 muley friday night, I guess he really is a "dyed in the wool" coues hunter........LOL........hope everyone had a great time on the youth hunt............Allen Taylor.......... stanley Report post Posted November 20, 2006 Hey Allen: I'm glad that Travis got a shot at one this weekend. Erik and I could never quite get in position, but we were VERY close on Saturday evening (right Christian??? ). Good to bump into you out there.... it's always nice to see a familiar and friendly face out in the hills. Overall though, Erik and I had a great time this weekend. We're heading-out again this Saturday, so I'll hopefully post an udpate after that. S.

mulie hunter Report post Posted November 21, 2006 Sorry, We didn't make it by the Jr camp we hunted off hwy 286 for mulies. We saw over 30 deer including 8 bucks, AZRDHD's son had a 3x2 24 yards away opening morning but by the time AZRDHD woke his son up, he couldn't get a shot, AZRDHD can share the story, my daughter had a forkhorn broadside at 125 yards but couldn't see it until it walked behind a tree. The kids saw some real monsters they were too far away! They had a great time, and we'll be out there next weekend. I found a nice 3x3 skull intact.
