Couestracker Report post Posted December 20, 2013 How many points will it take to draw? What's considered max points? I have 12 points going into the draw next time. I know you can get drawn with minimal points or anywhere in between to max, just wondering what you guys think. Thanks!

DesertBull Report post Posted December 20, 2013 24 or 25 is max. Unless you get really lucky, you have many years to wait. You never know though. Every year people get drawn with less than
Couestracker Report post Posted December 20, 2013 Thanks guys. Holly smokes...I may never get one. I know I "got the bug" kinda late in life, so it is what it is. I should chill I guess. It's still exciting come draw time though!

azcouesfanatic Report post Posted December 20, 2013 Just apply every year but stay away from the best units like 22 and 24B because they typically go to the max point holders! Good luck!!!
pwrguy Report post Posted December 20, 2013 So...not to hijack the thread, but I have 23 sheep points. Knowing that I won't draw the top few units, what units would you sheep experts suggest so that I can get to go on a sheep hunt before I get too old to climb those mountains? I am primarily interested in desert sheep.

jim Report post Posted December 20, 2013 If I read it right 21 tags went to bonus point round. So the rest of the tags go to the luck of the draw. I believe there is 156 max bonus point holders left after this year. At the rate they get drawn in the max pass it will take 6 more years to finish out the top points and then the next group will start their turn. I figure at my age points mean nothing for me, I will have to get drawn just by luck.
Swivelhead Report post Posted December 20, 2013 As I recall, in the 2013 draw 6 tags went to applicants with 6 points or less. You just never know. I drew with 14 points and my girlfriend drew with 12 points. It CAN happen.
Couestracker Report post Posted December 20, 2013 Hey swivelhead, where is this info on tag distribution?
jim Report post Posted December 20, 2013 Go into the draw section and look up bonus point information. There is a report that breaks down bonus point by unit or numbers.
