Looks like too many "yuppies" out there have a problem with freedom of speech. Phil Robertson will no longer be a part of Duck Dynasty even though he created it all. Check it out.

It will be very depressing if the guys at DD go through with the remainder, and especially if they re-up their contract after losing Phil for executing his 1st amendment right. I find it interesting that yuppies et al can tote the 1st amendment when it is to their benefit, but when something is said that offends them, they turn around on it.

I'm done with the show, as is everybody that I know! Dropped A&E a letter, and I circulated it to friends so they could also send. If you do some reading, multiple articles are alluding that this isn't the first time A&E has tried and suppress the cast. Very recently Phil himself is said to have had it out with the network because he refused to allow them to 'bleep-out' Jesus's name from their dinner prayers. This network started this show with the intent to make a mockery of 'country folk', to the amusement of coastal-leftist-hollywood, and were dang shocked at its success. It's the most watched non-fiction cable show of all time, and it's because there are still MILLIONS of Americans who center their lives around family, God, and hard-work.... a Christian lifestyle. I'm disgusted at the news; couldn't agree more with Phil's comments; and hope to heck that Willie, Jase, Si and the bunch tell A&E to shove it next season

I dont have the time or desire to watch cable tv.

Deer season must be almost over and nobody has much else to think about....... Deer and bird hunting (and Christmas tree cutting on Saturday....) is important to me. Not what some network and an entertainer are fighting about.......

I can add some links to a few other working man websites I participate in if you have the inkling to go there. Personally I would rather my grandkids watch Duck Dynasty than Queer Eye For The Straight Guy.

The everyday lifestyles of people like the Robertsons, who just happen to reflect people in Rural areas and "Fly Over States" is quite frankly pretty darn refreshing to see on Nat TV. Is it played up for TV, uh yeah maybe a little bit. If you had to pick, who would you want to babysit your kids or send them to spend Summer Camp with?

I'm not bashing anyone as in this day and age we all have someone who is out of the closet, so to speak.

PR was asked questions and spoke his convictions, maybe not so eloquently but he was to the point. He ain't no Saint. The interviewer did his job and stirred the pot. PR just gave him back a mouthful.

Has Society changed much in the past few decades? You betcha. Not everybody is going to go with the flow.

SWDesertRat - Respectfully, since you mentioned high school, do you remember those kids in high school that always went against the grain just to stand out? You know, those kids that thought they were cool by pretending to not care but really they always did and threw their two cents in whenever they could. You remind me of those kids right now, why even comment on the thread if you're just gonna be negative? We all come on this site to share and be accompanied by others who share the same interests. I'm not as into hunting in Africa as other people but you don't see me going into that thread and throwing out negative comments. No, I just keep scrolling down.
