Azskyrider Report post Posted January 11, 2014 I shot one with my m77 mkii in .300 win mag using 180 gr. bullet at about 90yards. It blew the pig in half. The pig was still alive for some time. It was crawling on its front legs with only its guts connecting his entire rear half. It had some bad mange going on so I probably did it a favor. I felt bad and decided to buy me a .243 after that for javelina. It could have been a freak shot but in my young age at the time it left an impression on me of a hunt I didn't enjoy due to the animal suffering. I have honed my shooting skills since then. If you have another caliber rifle then I would leave the win mag at home.
